LARGE ASSEMBLY/SMALL ASSEMBLY

Top Three Qualifications

           1. Handles Repetition

          2. Physical ability to lift 50lbs and stand/walk 100%

           3. Punctual

These individuals will be assembling large metal server racks so they will be lifting (from 1 foot to 5 foot off ground), carrying (from 2 feet to 10 feet) and stacking (onto pallets that are 1 foot off the ground) server racks. They may also be helping with small assembly, which takes manual dexterity, attn to detail and ability to follow direction. It takes about 18 minutes to assembly one server rack, so it is repetitive to a degree. The weights on server racks change for each order. Currently the server racks weight no more than 50lbs and they do buddy lifts on that so it's very reasonable. If someone is not as strong of a lifter, they do have other positions within large assembly. One guy spends all day drilling holes and attaching components in large assembly, for example, but in general people need to meet the lifting requirements. This requires standing and walking constantly as well. The assembly aspect will be mainly administering stickers to show how end users handle the product. Main things to remember are this person needs to be able to lift correctly and safely  and they must be okay with repetition and not a lot of variety in their day. They have a couple of 60 yr old ladies who do this without issue.
